Lieutenant Colonel Guy Smith CD2 (Retd) a career soldier having served over 35 years in the Lorne Scots, Royal Canadian Regiment and commanded The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry from 2003 - 2007. He served in Afghanistan in 2007 at the same time as his daughter who is a critical care nurse turned doctor who continues to serve. Upon retirement in 2011 he founded Host a Veteran Fishing, an annual Salmon & Trout Derby that hosts over a hundred Veteran’s and family members. LCol Smith continues to advocate on behalf of Veterans and supports many causes and charities.



Fred Smith is the founder of Veterans Helping Veterans and proudly served in the 1st Battalion in the Royal Canadian Regiment (1-RCR) from 1974 to 1981. Nothing brings Fred greater joy and peace of mind then helping veterans and soldiers and their families, and his passion for service continues to this day.

Ken is a management consultant and CEO / Managing Director of a consulting firm located in Milton, Ontario.  With his background in business management and information technology, Ken assists VHV with strategic planning, marketing and maintenance of the VHV website.


Secretary / Treasurer

Margaret is a professional accountant who has worked closely with her clients since 1982 as a business coach. Ms. Good is actively involved in her community and has held and continues to hold various board appointments in organizations.
